Just what I would have wanted for Christmas!

The Age has posted an entertainingly bad article on that ancient mysterious problem: how to make women buy tech stuff.
Apparently, what I’ve always wanted is a garish, heart-shaped, rhinestone-covered USB drive. Yes, really.
Just how do people actually manage to come up with this stuff? It boggles the mind.
“Ragnetti said women cared more about looks when buying a product than men did, and therefore it was important when designing TV sets to get rid of angular designs in favour of soft, rounded edges.”
*boggles with you*
what i want to know is why australia doesn’t have any decent newspapers. i mean, the age is the lesser of evils in melbourne, but it just gets worse and worse (or is it that i get better and it stays the same?!)
What, you mean The Australian isn’t quality journalism?
Yeah, it’s a shame - I think we have had a history of good journalism, but in this age of corporate newspapers, even The Age is only a bit better than the tabloids. Still, it could always get worse - I read the Daily Telegraph down here occasionally, and I shiver that anyone actually buys this dreck…
